Yes, another yarn about crochet...

I will keep it brief, but - yay! I made something which actually resembles the pattern! And has a use - there's a pin on the back. I didn't think I was a crochet flower kind of girl, but I actually quite like this. It might look quite nice on a cushion, don't you think?

Also, if you have any suggestions as to where my 4mm crochet hook has disappeared to, please lets have them. I'm thinking The Borrowers might have swiped it for a washing prop or something... I can see these being something which I'm forever having to re-purchase, like hair elastics. Good thing the charity shop has literally thousands, along with knitting needles. [They're under the counter though. Something for the weekend, Madam?]

  1. look at you getting all fancy with the crochet *wink* looks fabulous. You'll be making those cs workers suspicious with your crochet hook buying, maybe they'll have to ask anyone looking under 21 ID before buying :o) Yup been on readitswapit for a while now but trying to get rid of all the books now so i can free up some space for my vintage stuff. Must be strong and not buy anymore paperbacks! Scarlett x

  2. Fab crochet, and thanks for the comment by the way. The paper chains are from the Cancer Research shops (they are in them all at the mo, as well as cups, plates, napkins etc) and the cases are from The Works :)
    Hope that helps!

  3. Hi Lakota, well done you yet again! I like a crocheted (or knitted flower), not that I've ever crocheted a flower. All I can muster is a granny square. I must branch out!

  4. Good on you! I am afraid that crochet is beyond me, my neck begins to spasm and my fingers will not do what I want them to.
I love your DLS (dirty little sectret) in your previous post. Congratulations on your wins. I think I will have a go...until my short attention span and slow internet funnels me to something else

  6. Wow, aren't you clever! Pretty flower :0)

I love the way knitting needles are kept under the counter. We used to do it too - but seriously, what self respecting robber would use a knitting needle as his weapon of choice?!!

  10. p.s maybe the charity shop Barbies (all dirty and coloured in) kept using the crochet hooks to limbo (as in Toy Story) so the staff have to hide them...

  11. Yes why do they keep crochet hooks under the counter? Do they think you might turn and try to crochet someone to death?
